Using TruthOrLie
Analyze a live Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet session from the TruthOrLie website, or upload a recording. In-meeting side panel support is Zoom only, via the TruthOrLie Zoom App. Zoom Apps for other Verlo offerings are coming soon.
In your browser
Use TruthOrLie in a web browser to analyze a live Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet session you are hosting, or to upload a recording. You do not need to install a Zoom, Teams, or Meet app for this path.
Adding
- Create a TruthOrLie account at TruthOrLie.ai and sign in.
- Open your analysis library after sign-in.
- No marketplace install is required. You will paste a Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet invite link when you start a live analysis.
Using
- Start or join the Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet session you want to analyze (you should be the host or a co-host / organizer).
- In TruthOrLie, choose Analyze a live meeting (or Start Live Analysis).
- Paste the meeting invite link, enter an interview title, and start analysis.
- Admit “Verlo Recorder” if the platform shows it in a waiting room or lobby.
- Watch the live transcript and analysis in the browser. Conclude when you are done. Completed sessions stay in your library.
You can also upload a recorded meeting or other audio/video file from the library instead of analyzing live.
Removing
There is no Zoom, Teams, or Meet app to uninstall for browser-only use. To stop a live session, click Conclude in TruthOrLie. To stop using the product, sign out. You can delete saved analyses from your library.
In a Zoom meeting
Embedded analysis in the meeting side panel is available for Zoom only, and today only the TruthOrLie Zoom App is listed. Zoom Apps for other Verlo offerings (Confidence, CaseChecker) are coming soon. Microsoft Teams and Google Meet are not supported in-meeting; use the browser path above for those platforms.
The TruthOrLie Zoom App runs in the Zoom Desktop Client so you can start analysis without leaving the meeting. Only the meeting host or a co-host can start analysis. The Zoom web client and mobile clients are not supported.
Adding
- Open the Zoom App Marketplace (marketplace.zoom.us) while signed in to Zoom.
- Search for TruthOrLie and open the listing.
- Click Add, review the requested permissions, and click Allow.
- The app then appears under Apps in Zoom meetings on your account.
Using
- Start a Zoom meeting as host (or join and be promoted to co-host) in the Zoom Desktop Client.
- Open Apps and select TruthOrLie. The app loads in the side panel.
- Sign in with your TruthOrLie account if prompted.
- Start analysis of the current meeting. If your account is set to auto-start, analysis begins after sign-in.
- Admit “Verlo Recorder” if Zoom shows it in the waiting room.
- Follow the live transcript and analysis in the side panel. Click Conclude when finished.
- Use Open Library to view saved results in your browser. The library does not run inside the Zoom panel.
- To switch accounts, click Sign out on the Start Analysis screen after you conclude, then sign in again in the panel.
Participants may be asked to consent to recording and analysis. If Verlo Recorder was removed from the waiting room instead of admitted, Zoom will not let it rejoin the same meeting — end and restart the meeting, then start analysis again.
Removing
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal or open the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Go to Manage → Installed Apps (or your account’s Apps list).
- Find TruthOrLie and choose Remove or Uninstall.
- Confirm the removal. The app will no longer appear under Apps in your meetings.
Removing the Zoom App does not delete your TruthOrLie account or library. To sign out of TruthOrLie without uninstalling the app, conclude analysis if one is running, then click Sign out on the Start Analysis screen. Sign in on the website to manage saved analyses.
